What is UpdateGoGo?

UpdateGoGo is a service for Android Developers who develop their apps using Sketchware(Android Studio support not available yet). They can send in-app notifications in a few taps with UpdateGoGo, UpdateGoGo gives you ability to design your own awesome UI or customize which are made by us.

How to install UpdateGoGo on our phone?

Click here, for Sketchub users please download here. If you downloaded from your web browser, then open downloads folder on your phone and select UpdateGoGo.apk. Install UpdateGoGo screen/dialog appears. Hit INSTALL and wait a few seconds, once the installation is complete, hit OPEN. Create your account and done!

How to connect UpdateGoGo with our Sketchware app?

REQUIREMENTS:

• Sketchware Installed on your phone
• UpdateGoGo Installed on your phone
• UpdateGoGo moreblock

Tutorial:

Open UpdateGoGo and add a new Project.

After adding a project, tap copy API link. Now tap on project.

Enter a Title, button text, message and a app name. Other fields are optional. Once done, hit Preview and your cool lookin dialog appears.

You can change the way it looks by selecting a dialog type.

You can make alert dialogs and bottomsheet dialogs.

Once you're done making your dialog, hit Send button and the notification will be sent!

Open Sketchware and download our moreblock, it is available in Sketchware shared moreblock, search Updatify and download UpdatifyHack moreblock which is shared by a user named Unknown. Add it to your project.

Add 2 components, a request network component and a Shared Preference named UGGSP.

Add a start request network block. Set the request method to GET and RequestNetwork to your component. In the URL field, paste the link you copied and leave tag field empty.

Go in RequestNetwork onResponse event and add the UpdateGoGo component moreblock and in setResponse, add the response string.

If you do not enable AppCompat, it will show error.

You're done. Run the project and open it, you will see the notification you created in a few seconds.

How to send a new notification?

Simple. Just open UpdateGoGo, create a cool lokin' dialog and click Send. Done. Try opening your app, you will see Notification!

If you can't see the notification, make sure the app version is set to higher then your app's latest version in UpdateGoGo. For example, your app's current latest version is 1.0, you will need to set 1.1 app version in UpdateGoGo. But if you're sending a update app notification, then set to latest version NOT higher.
